EL PASO- A Downtown El Paso restaurant is donating 100% of its proceeds from tomorrow’s sales to help families with sick children.
Kipps Cheesesteak is teaming up with the Junior League of El Paso for Kipps “Cheesesteaks for Charity Event”.
The money raised will go towards funding the Family Resource Center at the El Paso Children’s Hospital. The Family Resource Center is the Junior League’s newest and biggest project. It will provide areas for families to research, gather, relax, learn and support each other.
“There will be couches and blankets and some fun places for the families to hang out together or maybe the children to hang out together and make friends and relax and not be in a hospital environment so much,” said Junior League of El Paso Family Resource Center Committee Chair Sassie Colquit.
“It’s going to be a great tool for families with small children in their time of need, to give them that very, very critical peace of mind,” said Kipps Cheesesteak owner Kipp Gray.
The Family Resource Center at the El Paso Children’s Hospital is scheduled to open in February of next year.
Kipps “Cheesesteaks for Charity” takes place Saturday. The address is 203 East Mills Avenue. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
