EL PASO, Texas —
It was a special day for some children in El Paso as a few of the Chivas Patriot soccer players visited with them Wednesday.
The young patients at the El Paso Children’s Hospital, in south central El Paso, got the chance to meet and interact with the athletes.
The players signed autographs and played games, all while trying to lift the kids’ spirits.
Enrique Cervantes, Chivas midfielder, said “It feels great to actually be here and to have seen the kids smile and actually spend a day and try to give them something different in their day.”
The players also donated special items along with tickets to patients and family members.
