JJ wears bowties and suspenders. He’s from Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he lives with his mom, dad and big sister. JJ was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when he was four in 2014. Because El Paso Children’s Hospital was close by, his family did not need to leave town during his three years of treatments. Today, JJ is in remission, and that’s worth bragging about!
